Welcome!

So before I put away all my groceries, I thought I'd just get on here and waste some time.
I've been out since about 9:30 this morning...Lynné graciously let my kids stay with her while I went to Other Mothers' 25-cent sale. The sale was crazy. I got there before the store opened (not on purpose, I just didn't know it wouldn't open until 10) and there was a line outside the door...that's not unusual, but inside, there was so little room to move around the tables piled with clothes that once I was done looking through one table, I had to wait until someone else at another spot wanted to trade places with me because there was not even room to squeeze in anywhere. Well, I did find some decent stuff, and just what I was looking for, though it took some time. By the time I was in line to get my bag counted and pay, lots of other people were in line too so I spent a total of about 30 minutes in the counting line and the paying line. Ugh.
Lynné invited us to stay for lunch, which was so nice to have some de-stress time before we started up our shopping again. And the kids had helped cut out baked raised doughnuts, so we had those for dessert and they were really good.
Then on to the four stores. Everything went pretty smoothly (other than the constant reminders to Timothy NOT to walk in front of the cart and not to ask for things) until we got to our last stop. I had just bought a couple things at Super Supplements and had thought, "Should I put this bag in the back with the rest of the groceries, or just leave it up here?" and decided to put it between my seat and Noelle's (she's right behind me) so I wouldn't have to open the back. Little did I know that something could happen--and did. David stepped on the bag on the way to getting out, and popped open the liquid laundry detergent. If that's not bad enough it's like ultra 3X concentrated stuff so it's SUPER sudsy. Well, our car smells of grapefruit and orange extracts now, and I think I'll have to use my mom's steam cleaner to really get it out. AUGH.
I kinda want to take a nap, but I really need to get these groceries where they belong and start on dinner.

A couple of funny things...
Noelle recently has been calling our dog "Lighting McCweam." Usually we just call him Lightning...but she decided to call him by his full name...except I guess he's associated with cream. :-)
Also, at my parents' on Sunday, I was helping her wash up and when we went to dry our hands, there was an earwig on the towel. (Not uncommon for this area and season.) I mentioned it, and Noelle said, "We don't like earwigs. 'Cause that would be SAD!"

Pictures
Timothy saved up his money to get this new suit:
So David gets to have Timothy's old one. Finally. :-)
(Noelle tries to get in the shot too.)
David learned how to climb the door jambs! I'm really proud of him. I know, not something every mom would be saying. But I loved doing it as a kid...and don't see any harm in it.
And of course we need a picture of the princess!

Well, I haven't posted for a while. Things have been pretty crazy around here all summer. It's finally feeling manageable again...and for that I'm so thankful. I'm getting excited about having a little baby in less than three months! (Or...well, up to three months, depending on how late I go.) Yesterday was Dylan's 6th birthday, and Victoria's 5th. Happy birthday Victoria!! We went over to Isaac and Heather's to celebrate Dylan's birthday...he had been hoping that his mama would have her baby (or, as he has believed, babies) while everyone was over, but so much for that! I'm glad for Heather's sake it didn't go that way, although knowing how a woman would be very unlikely to go into labor with lots of company over, it's not at all surprising. Anyway, yesterday was also her due date. So we all wait in eager anticipation for some happy news!
The weather has changed for the better. It had been very hot here lately, and while hot is great for swimming, we weren't able to take advantage of that on every hot day, and either way I was drained of energy from the heat, besides spending money on A/C both in the house and in the car. It's SO wonderful to just open the windows and have a cool breeze! Last night it was below 50 degrees and it's so fresh and moist outside and it smells delicious!
Well, that's all I have to say for now. Maybe one of these days I'll get some pictures up. :-)

Fireworks 2
Well, Rachel helped me figure out how to save the movie as a file that takes up much less space, so here are the fireworks. I did a funny little cut at the very end that didn't turn out as I had planned, but I think all the good stuff is there.
