Well, I haven't posted for a while. Things have been pretty crazy around here all summer. It's finally feeling manageable again...and for that I'm so thankful. I'm getting excited about having a little baby in less than three months! (Or...well, up to three months, depending on how late I go.) Yesterday was Dylan's 6th birthday, and Victoria's 5th. Happy birthday Victoria!! We went over to Isaac and Heather's to celebrate Dylan's birthday...he had been hoping that his mama would have her baby (or, as he has believed, babies) while everyone was over, but so much for that! I'm glad for Heather's sake it didn't go that way, although knowing how a woman would be very unlikely to go into labor with lots of company over, it's not at all surprising. Anyway, yesterday was also her due date. So we all wait in eager anticipation for some happy news!
The weather has changed for the better. It had been very hot here lately, and while hot is great for swimming, we weren't able to take advantage of that on every hot day, and either way I was drained of energy from the heat, besides spending money on A/C both in the house and in the car. It's SO wonderful to just open the windows and have a cool breeze! Last night it was below 50 degrees and it's so fresh and moist outside and it smells delicious!
Well, that's all I have to say for now. Maybe one of these days I'll get some pictures up. :-)
Two ordinary people who seek to follow God on an extraordinary journey. By the grace of God they became one and from that union have come seven fellow Travelers...this is their story.

Fireworks 2
Well, Rachel helped me figure out how to save the movie as a file that takes up much less space, so here are the fireworks. I did a funny little cut at the very end that didn't turn out as I had planned, but I think all the good stuff is there.

All right everyone. I'm disappointed with your lack of comments. Should I post about something controversial to get the talk going?
Today is my last beginning dog class with Lightning. I'm happy that I'll have a nice long break (for who knows how long) but also will miss the classes, especially because the last few weeks, Lightning has been so good when we're there, so obedient and eager to please. It makes me happy to see how obedient and how smart he is. I know though that I still have a ways to go, and need to be especially diligent to set aside a couple days a week to work with him for a chunk of time, just so he keeps in practice.
We went to Riverfront Park on Saturday...it was fun but it was quite hot in the sun. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days.
Well, I thought I had more to say but nothing is coming to mind.

Stuff
It's one of those rare mornings when I'm up before the kids. That tends to happen occasionally, if we stay out late (for our kids) and then they end up sleeping in later than I do. It's a nice feeling to get up before them and not be thinking, "why did they have to get up already?" Although I must say that I'm thankful that my children are fairly well-behaved in the morning when they're up before me, and don't usually do much more than play happily in their bedroom, or ask to watch a movie.
So, I'm feeling Anastasia kick more and more now...yesterday she was very active the entire church service. Forrest has gotten to feel the kicks too--for about two weeks, I think? The first time I thought I felt movement was the day before 15 weeks. That's earlier than I thought I first felt each of the boys, and much earlier than I felt Noelle. It's been really cool to feel her.
I'm getting to the point where I don't feel like I can bend over very well...and it seems to have come on all of a sudden. Glad I only have four months to go, but that still seems like quite a while to have my stomach squishing up into my lungs.
I love this time of year. Life is maturing all around--the garden is growing rapidly (as long as it stays watered!), fruit is ripening (yummy apricots, plums, cherries!), roses are blooming...I even enjoy the hot temperatures, as long as I'm out at my parents' house relaxing in their pool! :-)
Well, I should make breakfast because at least one of my children is up--the others should be up soon then.
