Saint Lucia's Day breakfast
Making the Saint Lucia buns. They're very yellow from the saffron.
Fresh out of the oven!
In the morning. Forrest is reading the St. Lucy/Lucia entry from Fr. John Julian's Stars in a Dark World.
And lastly, a few pictures of our glorious sunshine on the white world!
Yummy yum! Is saffron a spice or what? I always thought it was savory, but now I'm wondering... I made a raspberry almond pastry for breakfast yesterday (actually, I made two, and they turned out huge, so we still have one), as a part of our new special-Advent-Sunday-breakfast tradition. It's so fun to make special breads like that, even if it means getting up early! And the snow is so breathtakingly beautiful with the sunshine on it!

Okay, so I'm officially very envious. SNOW!
