Great Concert Sunday

On the way to the Better Questions Concert in the back of Matthew's new Subie

Pleased with his new ride

Rush of Fools one of the two amazing opening acts

Todd Agnew!!

It was a really good concert, Joy Whitlock and Rush of Fools opened for Todd Agnew and both were seriously good; RoF actually got the crowd to jump, amazing for Spokane!
It was fun to hear the new songs live and hear Todd's view of the Church as Family(he unabashedly includes RCs), and the role of the Church in the world.
After the concert we went to Shari's with Matthew,Ryan and Taneisha, a first for me and also the first time since started having children to go out without any of them.

The Fair, plus four bonus pics

From our day at the fair:

We always paint our hair with that temporary spray-stuff for the fair. David was red, Timothy pink, Forrest purple, me green, and Noelle half-purple, half-green.

In one of the animal buildings there were two tortoises. The note on this (bigger) one's back said, "Don't panic. It is OK for me to walk around."

Youssef and Lynné brought face paint, and we did quite a bit of painting...
This artwork by Youssef:

Lynné did her own flower around her eye and Youssef's wreath of leaves.

...and my strawberry.

Youssef did the Spider-Man painting on Timothy...

I did Noelle's butterfly...

Youssef made a dragon on Matthew's arm (and Jamie added the "blue-flame" part to his fingernails). Unfortunately this is about the best shot I got of it.

Lynné did Jamie's flower.

Here are the boys enjoying elephant ears after a corn dog dinner:

Noelle woke up from a nap just as we were finishing our dinner. Here she is, a little sleepy but happy.

Victoria. Her hair was painted red, with white braids.

Sunset.

The Spokane County Sheriff's department had a booth, with a little prop behind which to take pictures. hehe.

Here are the kids, being bees (this year's fair theme)...Our three, and Victoria. Noelle's got a honey stick.

And Matthew, Taneisha, Victoria, and Jamie.

Timothy petting a goat.

Dancin' to the music as we walked past.

Bonus: (not from the fair)
Noelle, "smiling" for the camera...

Timothy and Forrest made this cape with paper, a black crayon, scissors and yarn. The pinkish tint to Timothy's head is leftover from the fair paint...didn't all come out in the shower.

Noelle, pretending to be a boy. She did this herself without coaxing, and loves to put on Timothy & David's Spider-Man shoes.

French braids. One of them came out within an hour.

Sore Feet

We had a great time today with the Hathaways and Sleimans at Riverfront Park, though it was quite crazy with Pig Out at the Park going on.
We then came back to our house and had Black Bean Tacos and Spanish Rice for dinner with a lot of good conversation.
Lost is addictive!!
We are going out to Mommy and Daddy's house for the first time in over a month, and then Esther is coming to our house for a sleep over because she misses us :-)!
Hooray for Crazy Normal life!
