I'm annoyed at the Disney movie club. They sent us this good offer for signing up, and it said we'd even pay less if we registered online, and so we did, but nowhere did they give us a place to put our promotion code, so we didn't get nearly as good a deal. I emailed their customer service about it over a week ago and they never replied...now I have to call them and be all confrontational...which I hate doing to strangers. Grr. And their customer service number is just saying "All circuits are busy now"!! ARRGH
In other news...I should be doing other stuff right now but am trying to get a hold of Disney and thought I could blog in the meantime. School is going well with the kids; Timothy was reading a book yesterday with the words "countryside" and "adventure" without a problem. He's also doing Latin, math, Bible memory, and we're supposed to do Bible stories and science but don't get to them every day. We do have devotions every day, though. The thing about Bible stories is, I don't always like the "Bible stories" because I think they leave out important stuff and also add stuff that wasn't in the Bible. Not that I'm totally against that per se, just I want my kids to hear the closest to original version first. Also, with science I'm not using a curriculum, just library books and different topics. What I need to do is sit down and do a weekly plan for school, that way I know what to do with them each day because it's already been all figured out.
I've been making diapers lately (thanks to the ladies of my church for money for the materials!) because the diapers that Rachel made for me (thanks Rachel! and Mommy, who I believe paid for the materials!) are getting too small for my little super-chubby girlie. So far I have loved cloth diapering...it has saved us money, not only in the cost of diapers but also the cost of our garbage can, because we don't need the bigger one. But also it's not too much trouble (I wash them about every 2 days, not much special about the load) and I've had a total of like 2 or 3 blowouts ever.
Anastasia is getting more and more talkative and sometimes says something that sounds like "ding-ding" but mostly just says "ahhh, aaaah" in a cute squeaky voice. She's starting to reach out and grab things more, I think she's starting to know what she's doing with her hands.
Well, I need to go read the kids a Bible story and launch into school.

It's great to hear from you again! I'm glad to hear that all is going well, except for the Disney thing.

I'm right with you about Bible stories! I really appreciate Jamie Soles' Bible songs, as he doesn't just make new songs for the same old stories, but goes more for the 'obscure' ones and the 'not-so-kid-friendly' ones, but that are in the Bible, and should be known by God's children. Also with the Science: I'm hoping that someone would write (or I'd just discover it) a good Science curriculum for K-3 grade kids, as A-Beka has way too much twaddle in it!!

I can't wait to see Anastasia (and Shane, and Verity)...the first year in a baby's life is so fun!
